Ubud's journaling scene: where to find Bali-themed supplies
/We are seeing a huge rush of talk and people looking to get back into the analog life, embracing handwriting, sticker collection, sketching, scrapbooking, collage and junk journaling. Most of our top selling items now are related to journaling!
At Toko Elami, our A5 and A6 sized notebooks featuring our bestselling botanical gelatin plate monoprints with plain pages have a loyal fan base. We recently added a hardcover to this collection, all handmade and hand bound here in Bali by the all-women team at Saraswati Papers, recycling and making beautiful paper in Bali for 30 years!
We have our Everyday Bali Sticker Sets that are full of great stickers (all original illustrations) for travel journals that fly off the shelves. We also have single stickers and sticker packs from illustrator Cecil Hidayat including Bali Family and Jaje Bali.
We even recently added our Paper Ephemera and Journaling kit (full of paper for scrapbooking and collaging) to our shop and its flying off the shelves! And now we added journal charms to add to your leather journal, too!
If you’re looking for even more analog inspiration we created a list of other places that have great paper products and journaling supplies in town, like Curative and Ganesha Bookshop. Check out the full list here on our Instagram. And if you have shopped and now need a place to journal in Ubud, here is a list of 5 of our favorite journaling spots aka coffee shops to sit down, order a drink, and get creating.
