Behind the design: Jenggala's 50th Anniversary Event

Elami played a small role in overall event planning and design, mainly as a sounding board, cheerleader for when it all got too much, schedule keeper, vendor suggester, floor plan maker etc and it was great to see the Jenggala team come through with their own ideas for the big event.
The event design reflected every bit of the identity of Jenggala and it was amazing to see such a clear vision implemented for their 50th celebration. Staying very faithful to the Indonesian and Balinese details and centering the people who made the whole thing possible, from the first potter that ever joined the company, to the many people who belong to the bigger family of Tandjung Sari and Cafe Batujimbar supporting the night.
Fresh Bali flowers and handmade leaf decor, jazz tunes, hands-on experiences, exhibitions of past collections, a night market with martabak, sate and jamu, special merch, lucky draws, a tumpeng cutting moment, and a group photo of 120 team members made a perfect night.
Over 400 guests attended the evening event and the Jenggala parking lot was transformed for the night. The 50th anniversay frog motif peeked out from little corners and the event signage was dominated by a beautiful yellow.
Our favorite details included the tiles for each guest to leave a mark that will then become a permanent display once fired, the beautiful cili and frog motifs, the Indonesia inspired dress code, the incredible new exhibition charting their history through ceramic pieces, the hand drawn signs, and the love that covered every inch and moment of the night.
